Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York is seeking a Lactation Specialist, Per Diem to join our perinatal care team. You will educate, assist and support breastfeeding women and infants, and help implement evidence-based care aligned with regulatory standards and public health initiatives.

You will coordinate breastfeeding services, manage the breast pump rental program, and serve as a resource for education of other health professionals while promoting a culture of breastfeeding support across our

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and IBLCE certification required.
• Minimum five years lactation consultant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and creative problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Educates and supports breastfeeding mothers and infants.
• Coordinates Breast Pump Rental and Supply Program.
• Acts as a resource and educator for other health professionals.
• Educates parents on all aspects of infant feeding.
• Ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
