Job summary

A mental health nonprofit agency is looking for a Per Diem Hospital Wellness Mentor in New Jersey to deliver peer support and assist with the wellness center's operations at Greystone Psychiatric Hospital. Candidates should have relevant education and experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to connect with clients. Lived experience in mental health or substance use is prioritized. Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in mental health or 2+ years if only high school graduated.
• Experience with inpatient hospitalization is necessary.
• Willingness to share personal recovery experience is a priority.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group peer support at the wellness center.
• Assist in day-to-day operations and coordinate with hospital staff.
• Help with community relations and related activities.

Skills

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of the mental health system and community resources

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Education

Associate’s degree with 1 year experience in mental health

High School Diploma with 2+ years experience in mental health
