Job summary

CARSON VALLEY HEALTH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in daily hospital workflows in Gardnerville, NV. The position involves medication reconciliation, Pyxis system checks, and assisting with medications for hospital and clinic use.

Candidates should be 18+, have a High School diploma, and be registered with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or be in training with conditional registration. Per diem status applies with enhanced hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician registration with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy required, or Pharmacy Technician in Training with on-the-job registration.
• One year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in various pharmacy tasks while not making clinical decisions.
• Record keeping and medication reconciliation responsibilities.
• Check narcotics into Pyxis and manage inventory control.
• Prepare and deliver medications to nurses and automated dispensing system.
• Support IV medication workflow and adherence to USP 797/800 standards.
