Job summary

Oriol Home Health is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to join their team on a per diem basis days, nights and weekends. The PCA will work under professional supervision, provide assistance with nutritional and environmental support, assist with personal hygiene, feeding and dressing.

The position requires completion of a state-approved PCA training program or equivalent, at least one year of caregiving experience, and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• State approved PCA training or equivalent.
• At least 1 year caregiving experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English (read/write).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Criminal background check required.
• Driver record check, reliable transportation and liability insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Personal Services: Bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, nails, skin care, positioning, elimination, eating/dressing/walking, medication reminders.
• Homemaking: meal planning, feeding, linen changes, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping.
• Essential Administrative Functions: follow client rights, daily activity documentation, report changes, attend in-service education, maintain personnel records, collaborate with client/family/supervisor.
• Functional Abilities: lift/transfer up to 150 pounds, stairs, travel to client homes, communicate in English.
