Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Per Diem Float Pharmacist to support prescriptions across the East Valley area including Apache Junction, Mesa, Chandler and Tempe. You’ll dispense medications, educate customers, and ensure compliance with state laws; immunization administration where allowed; and provide excellent customer service.

Candidates must have a BA or PharmD, a current Arizona pharmacist license, immunizer certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• BA or PharmD in Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license in state of Arizona.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Pharmacist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
