Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency care team. You will assist doctors, perform triage, administer treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing while providing compassionate support to pet parents.

You will work in a fast-paced, open-concept ER environment, including exotics, with ongoing opportunities for learning and mentorship. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of practice management software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person with care and respect throughout tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Handle IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and related procedures.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to shape care plans and maintain flow.
