Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Relief/Per Diem ECC/ICU Veterinary Technician for our Dennis, MA location. The role supports our ECC team with triage, hospitalization, and discharge processes, enabling you to apply advanced nursing skills and critical thinking in a high‑quality care environment.

You will work per diem with shift flexibility including swing, overnight, and weekend hours, collaborating closely with doctors and other team members.

Qualifications

• Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credential; licensure within six months preferred.
• VTS (ECC) preferred, or the desire to earn a specialization.
• RECOVER certification preferred.
• Two years of veterinary ECC experience required.
• Experience in anesthesia and monitoring emergency procedures.

Responsabilités

• Be available for open shifts or on-call.
• Perform emergency triage and document interactions in EMR.
• Assist in stabilizing critically ill patients on arrival to ER.
• Provide venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging.
• Assist clinicians with induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Provide advanced nursing to critically ill patients utilizing technical skills, communication, and compassion.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in inpatient and outpatient settings.
