Job summary

San Jose State University Health Services seeks a Per Diem Dietitian to assess nutrition needs of students, educate on healthy eating, and provide medical nutrition therapy. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and counselors and co-lead the Disordered Eating Care Coordination Team.

The role supports campus health through nutrition education, counseling, and participation in health promotion and quality improvement activities. A bachelor’s in nutrition and RD credential are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an ACEND-accredited program.
• Registered Dietitian certification required as defined by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; active status.
• Completion of an ACEND-accredited pre-professional experience program.

Responsibilities

• Perform nutrition assessments and develop care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy and counseling.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other campus health staff.
• Serve as a nutrition resource for the campus community.
• Co-lead the Disordered Eating Care Coordination Team.
• Engage in outreach, health promotion, and quality improvement initiatives.
