Job summary

CP Rochester in Rochester, NY is seeking a Dentist for per diem shifts (Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:00am–4:30pm). The dentist will diagnose and treat dental needs of patients receiving clinical services or referred to CP Rochester.

Candidates must have a DDS, NY license, Medicaid/Medicare eligibility, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to travel locally if needed. Per diem status with competitive hourly pay and travel between CP Rochester sites.

Qualifications

• DDS from an accredited institution.
• Licensed by New York State.
• Eligible to provide Medicaid/Medicare services.
• Clinical affiliation in developmental disabilities preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Valid NY Driver License; travel within Rochester area.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality per agency policy.
• Evaluates patients to determine need for dental services.
• Establishes treatment plans for patients.
• Provides dental services at CP Rochester sites.
• Provides preventative and restorative treatment.
• Completes all required documentation and records per regulations.
• Counsels patients and families.
• Performs billing and regulatory documentation as required.
• Participates in program planning and training as directed.
