Job summary

A leading health institution in New York is seeking a Per Diem Cytotechnologist for their Surgical Pathology team. The successful candidate will collaborate with pathologists to ensure quality slide reviews and perform fine needle aspiration assessments. Qualifications include an accredited cytotechnology diploma and NYS licensure, with several years of cytology experience preferred. Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years experience in cytology required.
• 1 - 2 years experience in performing fine needle aspiration adequacy assessment.
• ThinPrep and SurePath Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates telecytology microscope in collaboration with pathologists.
• Screens and interprets Gyn and non-Gyn slides.
• Participates in quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Maintains accurate records of daily workload.
