Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics seeks an experienced per diem CT technologist for West Valley Hospital in Dallas, Oregon. You will perform CT exams, document findings, and ensure accurate records while supporting inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services.

The role offers scheduling flexibility with no on-call requirements in a community hospital setting, using GE fluoroscopy equipment and integrated Epic/Radiant systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies.
• Licensed in Computed Tomography (CT) by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
• Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of CT exams, selecting appropriate imaging protocols.
• Gather additional patient history or supplemental images to support clinical diagnosis when needed.
• Use clinical judgment to adapt procedures to patient needs and cooperation level.
• Accurately document patient history, signs and symptoms, and scan details.
• Input orders and charges into EPIC and ensure records meet departmental standards.
• Safely operate imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform routine cleaning and care of equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Utilize Radiant, PACS, and EPIC to manage orders and access prior studies.
• Follow ALARA principles and radiation safety procedures.
