Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.

• Current certification or recertification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia and nerve blocks for surgical procedures and endoscopic procedures as needed.
• Accompanies patient to PACU and remains until patient is stable.
• Performs narcotic count and maintains anesthesia records in EMR.
• Conducts pre- and post-anesthesia assessments and documents notes.
• Responds to resuscitation calls when appropriate and safe for patient.
• Maintains courteous communication with patients and staff, ensuring high quality care.
