Job summary

Saint Marys Health Network in Reno, NV, is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care in a multi-unit hospital setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain patient safety, and work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of acute-hospital experience, be fluent in English, and hold Nevada NA certification with BLS. Shift is variable and per diem status applies.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent, acute, in-hospital experience in a multi-unit setting preferred.
• Must be able to communicate (both verbally and in writing) in English.
• Comfortable in the use of computer systems preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant from Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and / or unit.
