Job summary

Chino Valley Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Scientist for per diem shifts in Southern California. The role requires at least two years of clinical laboratory experience, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant sciences, and a current California State License.

You will perform diverse lab tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and more, ensure quality control, maintain instruments, and uphold safety procedures in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Requires two years of clinical laboratory work experience that cover all areas of a clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor’s Degree in biological science, chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in California Code of Registration, Title 17, Section 1032, Clinical Laboratory Scientist (generalist).
• Requires current and valid California State License.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the laboratory’s procedures for the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
• Follow the laboratory’s established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.
• Perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory.
• Maintain and document maintenance; daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed on instruments and equipment as appropriate.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in biological science, chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology

Requires current and valid California State License
