Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for our Operating Room at the Main Campus to support high-acuity inpatient procedures. You will scrub and circulate, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS RN license and a BSN with OR experience; CNOR is preferred but not required. Three 12-hour shifts, with occasional per diem quarters, enable flexible coverage.

• Prior Operating Room experience in acute care required.
• CNOR certification preferred but not required.
• CNOR training and circulating skills are essential.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our Operating Room team at the Main Campus. This role supports high-acuity inpatient cases and is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

Role Overview:

• The Clinical Nurse provides evidence-based nursing care in the Operating Room and works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiology, and the multidisciplinary care team to support complex inpatient procedures.
• Nurses in this role are responsible for scrubbing and circulating and will support a variety of cases rather than performing repetitive procedures.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must hold a New York State RN license and a BSN.
• Prior Operating Room experience in an acute care, inpatient setting is required.
• Scrubbing and circulating are required skills.
• CNOR certification is preferred but not required.

Additional Information:

• Schedule:Three 12-hour shifts, Monday through Saturday, with flexible coverage between 7:00am and 11:30pm. Per Diem schedule: 4 minimum shifts per quarter.
• Location: Main Campus (1275 York Avenue) with the ability to float to the Josie Robertson Surgery Center as needed.
• Reports To: Nurse Leader
