Job summary

Doral Health & Wellness is seeking a compassionate Child Life Specialist to support children and families through challenging health experiences. This is a Per Diem 1099 Independent Contractor role offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

You will design therapeutic programs, conduct individual and group sessions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote emotional well-being for medically fragile pediatric patients. Rate: $75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certified Child Life Specialist with certification through the Child Life Council.
• Experience with Medically Fragile pediatric population is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Passionate about supporting children and families during challenging healthcare situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group sessions to support children in coping with their healthcare experiences.
• Design and implement therapeutic programs to meet the emotional and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of therapy sessions, patient progress, and outcomes.
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children to express their feelings and develop coping strategies.
