Job summary

Haven Home Care Services LLC is hiring dependable Per Diem Child Care Companions for Bright Horizons backup care cases in Bridgewater and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible shifts with no guaranteed hours, perfect for students, educators, or caregivers seeking extra income.

You will supervise children in their homes, support meals and activities, and travel to multiple client locations with your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children in home settings preferred.
• Must be able to travel to different client locations.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• HHA/CHHA certification is NOT required.

Responsibilities

No HHA/CHHA license is required

About the Position

This is a per diem/as-needed position. Cases are offered to our agency as they become available, so there is no guaranteed weekly schedule or set number of hours.

Most assignments involve supervising and caring for children in their homes while their parent or guardian is working or needs temporary care. We may occasionally receive companion-care cases for elderly clients as well.

Cases may be located in:

• Bridgewater
• Somerville
• Basking Ridge
• Flemington
• Surrounding Somerset and Hunterdon County areas

You must have a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and be willing to travel to different client locations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and attentive supervision of children
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, reading, and play
• Assist with meals and snacks as needed
• Follow the family's routines and care instructions
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment
• Provide companionship and supervision for elderly clients when assigned
• Communicate professionally with families and Haven Home Care Services

Requirements

• Dependable, responsible, and comfortable caring for children
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
• Willingness to travel to different case locations
• Childcare, babysitting, daycare, companion care, caregiving, or similar experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• HHA/CHHA certification is NOT required
• Must successfully complete required employment and background screening

Schedule

Per Diem | As Needed | Flexible

Shifts are offered as cases become available. You may accept assignments based on your availability.

Please note: This position does not guarantee a set number of hours each week.
