Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasounds and related studies, ensuring high-quality imaging for physician interpretation.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Sonography with BLS certification and ARDMS/CCI credentials, plus eligible NH licensure. Per diem schedule, with a competitive starting rate and strong emphasis on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography preferred
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS required
• New Hampshire imaging license required upon hire (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, and contrast studies with high-quality image acquisition
• Assess and prepare patients for procedures with review of histories and prior imaging to ensure safe, patient-centered care
• Document accurate preliminary reports and communicate findings to physicians promptly
• Maintain equipment, rooms, and infection prevention standards per hospital policies
• Support patient experience through proper positioning and ergonomic scanning
• Participate in quality improvement, workflow coordination, and productivity/quality standards
• Assist in supervising students during precepting as deemed appropriate
