Job summary

A legal services provider in New York is seeking per diem attorneys for court and non-court appearances throughout New Jersey. This role offers flexibility for solo practitioners or those looking to supplement their income. Applicants must be admitted to practice in New Jersey and/or New York, have at least 3 years of legal experience, and the ability to appear regularly for legal proceedings. This opportunity allows attorneys to manage their own schedules via an online portal.

Qualifications

• Ability to regularly appear in person for legal proceedings.
• Experience with over 50 court appearances is required.
• Experience with 20+ depositions (defending or conducting) preferred.
• Able to appear in person for court, depositions, and related proceedings.

Responsibilities

ZR Per Diem Services is a leader in the legal services industry, providing court and deposition coverage to attorneys and law firms throughout New York and New Jersey. Due to increased volume and a return to in-person court appearances, ZRPD is seeking per diem attorneys to make both court and non-court appearances in every county in New Jersey.

Description

• You will appear on behalf of our attorney clients, providing off-counsel representation in various types of appearances.
• Courts covered are the Supreme, Civil, Surrogates, Housing, Foreclosure Family, Criminal, and others. Types of appearances include conferences, motions, hearings, depositions, EUOs, 50Hs, independent medical examinations, real estate closings, arbitration appearances, and more.
• Areas of law include Personal Injury, No-fault, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, Malpractice, Immigration, Surrogates, Family/Matrimonial, Criminal and more.
• Our easy-to-use online portal system gives you the freedom to create a personalized work schedule based on your personal commitments, areas of expertise, and coverage areas.

Requirements

• Ability to appear in person for court appearances, depositions & other legal proceedings.
• Admitted in New Jersey and/or New York to practice law as an attorney with good standing.
• At least 3 years of legal experience appearing in court/on depositions subsequent to bar admission is required.
• Experience handling 50+ court appearances is required.
• Experience handling 20+ depositions, conducting or defending, is strongly preferred.
• The ability to appear regularly is preferred.
