Per Diem Armed Security Officer: (ACT-235 Required) - York PA
Per Diem Position: This role is on an as-needed basis. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary depending on site needs. Officers are contacted for available shifts and may accept based on availability.
Compensation and Anticipated Hours:
- $24.41 hourly

Job Summary
In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.
Job Duties / Essential Functions
- Deliver high-end customer service
- Respond to emergencies
- Deterring and preventing crime
- Perform ingress/egress control procedures
- Investigate incidents
- Complete daily logs and incident reportsConduct regular walking or vehicle patrols
- Build and maintain professional rapport with clients, guests, and co-workers
- De-escalate conflicts
- Monitor CCTV cameras
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications
- ACT 235 (current)
- 21 years of age
- Current and valid DL
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of armed security experience required
- Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) and Armed Security Officer course
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient time management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent de-escalation skills
- Proficient firearms skills
- Extensive use of force knowledge
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements
