Job summary

Optim Medical Center - Tattnall is seeking a per diem Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to provide comprehensive anesthesia care for predominantly elective orthopedic cases. You will perform pre-anesthesia evaluations, discuss plans with patients, and oversee induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.

This role offers a predictable Mon-Fri schedule with no nights, weekends, or call, and includes fully paid malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• Master’s AA program completed and licensed per guidelines.
• American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants licensure guidelines must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient physiology and intervene as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
