Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist for per diem coverage in acute therapy. You will evaluate and treat patients in an acute hospital or outpatient setting, developing individualized plans of care and adjusting them as progress occurs.

Responsibilities include documentation, interprofessional communication, supervising therapy staff, and coordinating with other departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Prior licensure in Arizona and BLS CPR are required before employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred for advancement.
• 1–2 years acute therapy experience; pediatric and outpatient experience valued.
• Arizona licensed Physical Therapist with BLS CPR prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients in acute hospital or outpatient settings.
• Administers diagnostic tests and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Re-evaluates patient progress and adjusts goals accordingly.
• Documents evaluation results, plans, and progress in electronic records.
• Communicates patient needs with medical and allied health staff; plans discharge.
• Supervises PT assistants, aides, and students per policy.
