Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University seeks per-course faculty in the Department of Media Arts & Technology to teach undergrad/grad courses in visual communications, typography, digital photography, and related areas at the Las Vegas, NM campus.

Availability varies each semester; a Master’s degree in the discipline or 18 related hours is required, with terminal degrees for graduate courses. Proficiency with Banner, Brightspace and Zoom is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the discipline with 18 hours in related discipline; MFA candidates may teach undergraduate courses
• Graduate level courses require a terminal degree in the field of study
• Active enrollment in an MFA program may be considered for undergrad courses

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate or graduate per course class(es) synchronously or asynchronously as needed
• Evaluate students and participate in trainings/orientations; hold regular office hours; use Banner/Brightspace and Zoom as assigned
