PEPI: Director, Operations Group—Aerospace, Defense, Aviation & Space

Accelerating operational excellence for portfolio companies in the aerospace and defense sector. A leading global consulting firm, Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice serves middle market and large cap private equity firms.

How You Will Contribute

Lead and deliver large, complex engagements. Design and implement creative business solutions with ADAS leadership.

• Structure a performance improvement plan and manage the project to completion.
• Synthesize insights from data, facts and client discussions.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations; work directly with clients to implement them.
• Hands‑on experience through consulting projects in cost transparency, margin management, pricing and product rationalization, sales and marketing effectiveness, supply chain, operations management, organizational structure and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous professional consulting / operations experience with a recognized strategy consulting firm REQUIRED.
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Depth in Aerospace, Defense or Aviation preferred.
• Recent project leadership experiences.
• Experience working with PE and/or PE relationships a PLUS.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $150,000–$225,000 annually. A discretionary bonus program is available based on performance. Full‑time benefits include healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life and disability coverage, 401(k) participation and paid time off.
