Mavis Tires & Brakes is hiring a General Service Technician in the Bloomington, IN area. You will perform tire mounting/dismounting, oil changes, fluid checks, and basic maintenance while working with experienced technicians. Paid training, full-time hours, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused service in a fast-paced automotive environment with potential for career growth within the Mavis family.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be reliable, punctual and willing to learn in a fast-paced shop.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and delivering quality service.
• Ability to work comfortably in a hands-on automotive environment.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required; paid training provided.

Responsabilités

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs and oil/filter changes.
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids.
• Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Following established safety and service procedures.
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

Qualifications

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
