Mavis Tire is hiring General Service Technicians for its Troy, MI area locations. This full-time role includes paid training, competitive weekly pay, and weekly incentive compensation as part of a growing national automotive service family.

You'll perform essential tire services, oil changes, and basic maintenance alongside experienced technicians, with opportunities to advance into roles such as Alignment Technician or Service Manager.

Responsabilités

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing oil and filter changes and fluid checks.
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate with customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow procedures.
• Support technicians with basic vehicle maintenance tasks.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

Qualifications

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
