Pep Boys / Mavis Tire is seeking a General Service Technician in the Salem, NH area for a full-time role. You will perform essential maintenance and tire services alongside experienced automotive professionals, building hands-on skills for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Perform flat tire repairs and oil/and filter changes.
• Check and top off vehicle fluids; basic maintenance and inspections.
• Identify visible tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow established safety and service procedures and ensure timely completion of customer vehicles.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

Qualifications

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
