Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes is seeking a General Service Technician in the Louisville, KY area to perform essential tire services and basic vehicle maintenance. This full-time role offers paid training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for advancement within the Mavis Tire family.

You'll learn through hands-on training, with paths to become an Alignment Technician, Automotive Mechanic, Service Manager, and other leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service
• Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required
• Paid training is provided

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
