Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking full-time General Service Technicians to join Team Mavis at our New Hartford, NY area centers. You'll perform essential maintenance and tire services under the guidance of experienced automotive professionals, building hands-on skills and a foundation for a long-term career.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

We're looking for full-time General Service Technicians to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the New Hartford, NY area.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires


• Performing flat tire repairs

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
