Pep Boys / Mavis Tire in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking full-time General Service Technicians to join our automotive service centers. You will perform essential maintenance, tire services, oil changes, fluid checks, and safety inspections and will learn alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn in a fast-paced automotive environment.

• Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required; paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs and oil and filter changes.
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying tire and maintenance concerns and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
• Following safety and service procedures to ensure quality service.
• Assist in ensuring timely completion of customer vehicles.
• Support alignment readiness and other related tasks as needed.

About the General Service Technician Position

As a General Service Technician, you'll perform essential maintenance and tire services that help keep our customers safely on the road. You'll work alongside experienced automotive professionals while developing valuable hands-on skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles

Qualifications

To be eligible for the General Service Technician position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment
• Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service

Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Physical Requirements

General Service Technicians must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive and tire service. Technicians must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
