Job summary

Mavis Tire in Crestwood, IL is hiring experienced Automotive Mechanics to join our service, repair, and tire sales team. As part of the nationwide Mavis family, you’ll work at a busy center delivering quality maintenance and repair services to keep customers safely on the road.

You’ll diagnose, repair brakes, suspensions, perform oil changes, mount and balance tires, and participate in inspections. We offer weekly pay with incentives, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a stable,

Qualifications

• 2 years automotive repair experience or training.
• Must have personal tools to perform repairs.
• State inspection license(s) and ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, suspension and steering.
• Diagnose vehicle repair needs and service requirements.
• Oil and filter changes and fluid level checks.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and perform inspections when applicable.
• Mount, rotate and balance tires; maintain safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to Mavis quality, safety, and customer service standards.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Crestwood, IL area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
