Mavis Tire is hiring experienced Automotive Mechanics in the Tampa, FL area. Join a large national network offering competitive weekly pay and a weekly incentive program.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, with opportunities for career growth within the Mavis Tire family. As part of our team, you will perform undercar repairs, tire mounting and balancing, oil changes, and part replacements while upholding quality, safety, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training.
• Must have personal tools to perform automotive and undercar repairs.
• Preferred: ASE Certifications including G1, A4, A5.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive maintenance and repair services to keep customers on the road.
• Perform undercar repairs such as brakes, suspension components, and steering systems.
• Conduct oil changes, fluid checks, and routine maintenance.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and perform state inspections where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires; maintain standards for safety and quality.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Tampa, FL area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
