Pep Boys / Mavis Tire in Bradenton, FL is seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics for full-time roles at our service centers. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, perform brakes, suspension, tires, oil changes, and inspections, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years automotive repair and/or maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and shocks.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Carry out oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
• Replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
• Perform state inspections where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, balance tires and maintain safety and quality standards.

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Bradenton, FL area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
