Pep Boys in Bear, DE is seeking experienced Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our service centers, performing diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs to keep customers safely on the road. You will handle undercar work, brakes, oil changes, tire mounting and alignments, with competitive weekly pay and weekly incentive compensation and benefits.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of automotive repair experience and bring their own tools; ASE certifications and state inspections are

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Must have personal tools to perform automotive and undercar repairs.
• Preferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications (G1, A4, A5).

Responsabilidades

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service

We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Bear, DE area.

About the Position

As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable

Qualifications

To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Preferred:

State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical Requirements

Automotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair. Mechanics must also be able to regularly lift and/or move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
