The People Team at Gecko is excited to be bringing on a People Operations Generalist who will be a critical team member involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle. The People Team is an agile and hands-on group, unafraid to roll up their sleeves and continually evolve Gecko’s people programming to align our employee’s needs with Gecko’s big aspirations. We are looking for someone who can flex from one aspect of the employee lifecycle to another while staying curious and determined to learn each component of People Ops before specializing into a specific path.
They will cover everything from talent programs project management, to operational and systems needs, to junior People Partner and employee relations responsibilities and onboarding support. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, good judgement on tricky employee matters, a programmatic mindset to implementing talent solutions, and a true self-starter mentality - unafraid to dive head first into any problem statement and adapt solutions as Gecko changes and grows.
Onboarding and Logistics
Assist with Gecko’s new hire “Robot Camp” including ongoing content re-evaluation, scheduling, and other logistical needs.
Liaise with recruiting on new hire handoff and related processes, including sending offer letters post verbal acceptance.
Automate and streamline new hire tasks wherever possible.
Talent Management
Set up performance cycles and 360 reviews in Gecko’s HRIS (Rippling), assist with program management, communications and training of cycles
Project manage People Lead Training initiatives and other learning and development sessions
Provide analytical and metrics support of talent performance, potential and attrition.
People Partner Support
Provide some people partner support for top line leaders; thinking through talent and organizational needs.
Attend talent review discussions and provide coaching and feedback to people leaders.
Provide employee relations and investigation support.
Employee Resource Group (ERG) Support and Enablement
Create tools and resources to enable current and future ERGs to grow
Collaborate with ERG leads and sponsors on roadmaps and how to make them more impactful to Gecko
Operations Responsibilities
Serve as a backup for payroll processing including global payroll.
Share responsibility for people ops help desk needs.
Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding global mobility (non-US) including relocations, employment agreements, and customer service for expats.
Required Skills
4+ years experience in People - either people operations, talent management, onboarding, or a people partner role.
Strong attention to detail and a programmatic mindset
Excellent organizational and execution skills.
Action oriented and adaptable to changing priorities.
Analytical skills.
