Job summary

Thatch Health is seeking a People Ops Generalist to join our remote-first team in the United States. You’ll be one of the first touchpoints for employees, shaping their experience and partnering with recruiters, managers, and the People team to keep operations smooth.

You’ll own onboarding, maintain HR records, support benefits and 401(k) administration, and collaborate on special projects with the Head of People. A service-oriented mindset helps you thrive here.

People Operations Generalist at Thatch

Location Remote (US) Compensation $110,000 - $120,000 USD

About the role

We’re looking for a people-focused People Ops Generalist to support our growing team. In this role, you’ll be one of the first touch points for employees, setting the tone for their experience with us. You’ll partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, the broader People team and all employees to make sure every interaction feels smooth, thoughtful, and delightful. From supporting onboarding and HR processes, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our people operations running seamlessly. What you’ll do
  • Manage Thatch’s onboarding program; from pre-boarding logistics and systems admin, to day 1 onboarding sessions, you will own it all.
  • Maintain accurate records in HR systems
  • Help new hires feel welcome by supporting onboarding and managing the onboarding calendar
  • Complete employee verifications, E-verify and maintain employee files.
  • Manage People related compliance around Benefits, 401(k) management, and support employees through any People related organization changes.
  • There will be an opportunity to work closely with the Head of People and other members of the people team on special projects and programs.
Background we're looking for
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, People Ops or a related administrative role
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Exercises good judgement when faced with challenges
Experience we’d be particularly excited about
  • Prior experience with Rippling or other HRIS tools
  • A people-first mindset and genuine interest in creating positive experiences for and enabling our employees to do their best work
  • Excellent customer service skills
