Verkada is seeking a People Operations Associate to partner with People Partners and drive performance, engagement, and data-driven HR initiatives. This on-site role at our San Mateo headquarters focuses on delivering a world-class employee lifecycle and scalable people programs.

You’ll support benefits, payroll, leave, and inquiries while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in an HR or People Operations role, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
• Education: BA/BS degree required (MBA or Master’s degree is a strong plus).
• Systems Savvy: Strong technical proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and Excel.
• Executive Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with senior leadership.
• The Verkada Mindset: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Location: This role operates in-person from our high-energy headquarters in San Mateo, CA. Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in-office.

• Elevate the Daily Experience: Serve as the crucial first line of support for complex employee inquiries (benefits, leave of absence, payroll, mobility, immigration), ensuring a frictionless experience.
• Build & Scale Programs: Co-pilot key talent programs, including performance management cycles and recognition initiatives.
• Optimize for Scale: Proactively identify process bottlenecks and assist in the rollout, communication, and change management of new People initiatives.

What You'll Do

Annual Pay Range

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$110,000 - $140,000 USD
