Role purpose

Micron’s Global Communications & Marketing organization is seeking a People & Culture Communications Manager to invent clear, compelling communications. These communications connect team members to our organizational identity, principles, and workplace environment. This role partners with People leaders to develop strategic communications plans, narratives and content for priority team member programs and culture initiatives—helping them connect their experience at Micron with the company’s strategy. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Team Member Engagement and Communications, this role will also be responsible for advising on communications approaches, creating high-quality employee‑facing content and ensuring messages are aligned, timely and easy to understand. This role operates in close alignment with the Senior Manager’s overall global team member communications strategy and partnership model for the People organization, while independently managing key stakeholder relationships, communications plans and content development. The ideal candidate is an experienced strategic communicator and strong writer. They can translate HR programs and key focuses on employee engagement and culture topics into engaging communications for a global workforce. They are confident working directly with senior stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, leading multiple priorities at once and balancing strategic counsel with hands‑on execution.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic communications and counsel Partner directly with People leaders to plan, develop and deliver communications for priority People programs, culture initiatives and employee experience moments.
  • Provide communications counsel on messaging, timing, audience needs, change impact and leader readiness.
  • Translate complex HR programs and decisions into clear, values-aligned communications employees can understand and act on.
  • Narrative, content and campaign execution Develop messaging frameworks, leader talking points, articles, FAQs, manager toolkits and campaign content that support People priorities.
  • Create compelling, human-centered narratives that reinforce Micron’s culture, values and employee experience.
  • Lead assigned communications projects from planning through delivery, measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Partnership and scale Hold and grow trusted working relationships with People partners while staying aligned to the broader TMEC strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal communications partners on editorial planning, channel strategy, governance and measurement.
  • Bring forward ideas, recommendations and insights that improve communication effectiveness and help the team scale, while using feedback, engagement data and communications insights to improve messaging, channel strategy and future communications plans.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in employee, internal, HR/People, change, or related communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience communicating to broad employee audiences and senior leaders.
  • Experience developing strategic communications plans for HR programs, culture initiatives, employee experience priorities, or organizational change.
  • Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships, influence without authority, work independently in a matrixed environment, and demonstrate a passion for employee experience, culture, and leadership communications.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting communications for global HR, People or employee experience programs and experience adapting communications for diverse employee groups, regions, roles or levels.
  • Experience advising leaders on sensitive or complex employee‑facing topics.
  • Experience developing manager enablement materials, such as FAQs, leader talking points, toolkits or cascade communications.
  • Familiarity with internal communications channels, editorial planning, measurement and governance.
  • Leveraging AI for content creation and planning.
