Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner in Anaheim, CA. The role is hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) and collaborates with senior HR management to support organizational objectives across engagement, relations, performance, policy, and training.

The successful candidate will manage employment law compliance, roll out HR initiatives, and travel between Orange and San Bernardino counties to support clinics and admin departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience.
  • 5 years of employee or labor relations experience; healthcare industry preferred; CBA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
  • Partners with HR Leadership, employees, and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs and suggestion email boxes.
  • Coordinates the annual employee engagement survey; from distribution of survey to the compilation of data and presentation to managers, and coordinates the action items that arise from the feedback.
  • Acts as an Employee Relations Specialist; coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Conducts internal investigations concerning violations of policies, discrimination, harassment, and other employee relations matters.
  • Maintains tracking system and accurate logs and completes reports and other documentation relating to investigations.
  • Maintains confidentiality and organization of files of investigations conducted.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Tracks employment metrics and supports management on performance, morale, and retention.

full-time opportunity for a People & Culture Business Partner in Anaheim, CA.

This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 days remote). The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for performing HR-related duties at a professional level and works closely with senior HR management to support organizational objectives. This position is responsible for the following functional areas: employee engagement and retention, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, training, project management, and employment law compliance. Overall, this position provides support and structure to the company and helps drive employee engagement, development, and retention for all Orange and San Bernardino County Health Center and Admin departments. This position will be required to travel between Orange and San Bernardino, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Provides project management support for the development, implementation, and completion of HR initiatives.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conducts interactive processes with managers and employees on and returning from leave of absence.
  • Assist Employee Relations team in drafting policies and procedures.
