Job summary

The People Analytics Manager at Latham & Watkins will join the Human Capital & Talent team in Downtown LA, delivering reliable workforce reporting, data governance, and actionable insights to support strategic decisions. The role may include a hybrid in‑office schedule.

You will partner with HRBPs and cross‑functional teams to standardize metrics, improve data quality, and translate data into clear executive narratives, while safeguarding highly sensitive information and building scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in people analytics, HR analytics, business analytics, workforce planning, or related analytical function.
• Seven (7) years of cumulative experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Partner cross-functionally to improve workforce data quality and governance across systems.
• Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements and standardize workforce metrics.
• Work with HRBPs to translate business questions into data requirements and build reporting capabilities.
• Develop documentation such as data dictionaries and process inventories.
• Create executive-level reporting and narratives translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Protect and maintain highly sensitive information in line with policy.

About the Role

The People Analytics Manager is an integral part of Latham's Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for providing reliable workforce reporting, data governance, and actionable people insights across the firm, while designing and leading the development and maintenance of scalable People Analytics reporting infrastructure, processes, and standards to deliver consistent, reliable insights and enable self-service reporting capabilities. This role will be located in our Downtown LA office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Partnering cross-functionally to improve workforce data quality, strengthen data governance practices, and promote consistent data entry processes across systems
• Collaborating with data teams to define data requirements, improve underlying data models, and standardize key workforce metrics, to support accurate and scalable reporting firmwide
• Working closely with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) to understand their analytical needs, translate business questions into clear data and reporting requirements, and build their confidence in using people data to inform decisions
• Overseeing and helping prepare clear documentation including process inventories, data dictionaries, and end-user guides
• Developing executive-level reporting and presentations that translate workforce data into clear insights, compelling narratives, and actionable recommendations
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

• Possess the ability to undertake large long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions, prioritizing multiple demands and managing within a matrixed organization and the demonstrated ability to manage reporting projects end-to-end

And have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Analytics, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field
• A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in people analytics, HR analytics, business analytics, workforce planning, consulting, or a related analytical function
• A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative experience

Pay Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
