Block is seeking a People Analyst to enable senior People leaders to make faster, data-driven decisions through analytics and storytelling. You’ll turn ambiguous questions into analyses, scalable reporting, and actionable recommendations across workforce trends and organizational health.

In this role you will build dashboards, leverage AI to accelerate reporting, and partner with HR, Talent, Compensation, Operations, and DEI to improve data quality and self-serve insights.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting or client management.
  • Understanding of HR operations, talent processes, workforce planning, employee lifecycle data, and organizational structures.
  • Ability to advise senior stakeholders and turn ambiguous questions into practical analyses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Clear storytelling and communication for executive audiences.
  • SQL proficiency and experience with large, complex datasets.
  • Working knowledge of data architecture, models, quality, and analytics workflows.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Greenhouse, Qualtrics, or similar platforms.
  • Sound judgment with sensitive employee data, including privacy, accuracy, and ethical use.

  • Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and self-service access to insights.
  • Partner with data and systems teams to ensure accurate, reliable reporting.
  • Proactively identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities.

The Role

We’re looking for a People Analyst to help senior People leaders make better, faster decisions through data and clear storytelling. You’ll turn ambiguous questions into analyses, scalable reporting, and actionable recommendations.

Using analytics tools, data systems, and AI, you’ll build dashboards and insight products covering workforce trends, organizational health, employee experience, talent outcomes, and People Team effectiveness.

The ideal candidate combines analytical judgment, curiosity, and a strong understanding of how People teams operate.

You Will

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

$125,800 — $188,600 USD
