Job summary

The Car Park in Wichita, KS is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor street parking, lots, and structures and to issue notices or citations as required. You will patrol by car, bike, or on foot to ensure compliance with local ordinances and regulations.

Ideal candidates enjoy helping customers, remain calm in busy environments, and communicate clearly. Requirements include a high school diploma, at least 19 years old, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Monitor street parking, parking lots, and structures for violations.
• Write warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles.

• Observe hazards and report needed repairs or signage issues.
• Assist in setting up barricades and temporary signs.
• Train new or temporary staff on PEO duties.

This position enforces parking regulations in an assigned area while driving a parking enforcement car, riding a bicycle, or walking on foot.Patrol an assigned area by vehicle or on foot to ensure public compliance with existing parking ordinance.Write warnings and citations for illegally or improperly parked vehicles.Observe and report hazardous conditions such as missing traffic signals or signs, and street markings that need to be repainted.Abandoned vehicle response and resolution.Set-up and remove barricades and temporary signs.Conduct security checks of parking facilities.Train new or temporary staff in the technical aspects of the PEO position.Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.Perform related duties as assigned.IDEAL CANDIDATE SKILLSThe successful candidate sincerely enjoys creating a positive experience for customers and coworkers.
