Job summary

Family Pathways in Pennsylvania is seeking a PA licensed psychiatrist to join our outpatient clinical team and serve children and families through a trauma-informed approach.

The role offers part-time contract engagement with flexible hours and supportive office staff. You will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and collaboration with families and providers.

Qualifications

• PA Licensed Psychiatrist required.
• Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances required.
• DEA License required.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric services (evaluation, diagnosis, mental status exams, approval of treatment plans, medication management, consultation to staff and families).
• Evaluates medical necessity for services and prescribes needed level of care.
• Partners with adults as well as child/adolescent and parents by educating on diagnoses, medications, treatment options and recommendations.
• Evaluates clients in crises and makes treatment recommendations.
• Evaluates mental health issues in conjunction with physical health using BMI, height/weight, medical and family history and other data.
• Collaborates with other treatment providers and insurance providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Uses electronic medical record and e-prescriber to complete required documents.
• Participate in leadership and administrative meetings in the program as requested.
