Mercor is seeking experienced Spanish (Spain) Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project. In this role you will evaluate how well a large language model handles Peninsular Spanish tasks and curate high-quality linguistic data to train and improve its understanding and generation.

You will assess LLM outputs, edit content for Spain-specific grammar and style, annotate text for linguistic features, and provide detailed feedback to researchers.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Peninsular Spanish (Spain).
• Professional experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Experience working in distributed, remote teams.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate quality and accuracy of LLM-generated Spanish text across use cases.
• Edit, refine, or rewrite Spanish content for Spain.
• Annotate Spanish text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.
• Identify model errors and language gaps; collaborate with researchers to improve LLM.
• Provide linguistic feedback to guide model training efforts.
