Job summary

Battelle in Arlington, Virginia is seeking a Penetration Tester to support the research, development, test, and evaluation of security systems for federal programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, IT, data science or related field.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret and TSA Security Suitability; sole US citizenship.
• Minimum 5 years with BS/BA or 2 years with MS+ in technical work related to cybersecurity/testing/evaluation.
• Experience using tools to support cybersecurity assessments, test execution and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security control validation for federal test and evaluation activities.
• Perform penetration testing and use tools for packet capture, data collection, and analysis.
• Develop and present high-quality technical reports for government, engineering, and stakeholders.
• Support test planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis in lab and field environments.
• Engage with government clients, vendors, and stakeholders regularly to support program objectives.
• Support engineering design reviews and IPT activities.
