Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Level 2 Penetrant Inspector to join the Canoga Park facility in California, supporting NASA, Military and Commercial contracts. You will analyze penetrant test results, develop inspection techniques, and ensure compliance with specifications.

The role requires reading drawings, writing work instructions, and passing Level II certification in house. Must have a High School diploma with 400 hours NDT/NDE experience; preferred Level 2 certification

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 400 hours of NDT/NDE experience.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret planning documents, drawings and specifications to establish penetrant inspection procedures.
  • Develop work instructions from approved general procedures.
  • Be familiar with codes, standards and contractual documents governing penetrant methods.
  • Analyze, interpret and evaluate penetrant indications to determine acceptability of materials and weldments.
  • Detect and identify defects affecting quality and safety such as cracks, porosity or inclusions.
  • Record test results and dispositions; reject items that do not meet criteria.
  • Test and pass Level II certification in house; pass vision test requirements.
