Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy in New York is seeking a motivated, full-time Pelvic Physical Therapist to join a growing multidisciplinary team with a state-of-the-art facility.

The role may involve pelvic and orthopedic patients; all levels welcome and training provided. NY licensure required; Women’s Health certs are a plus. Competitive compensation and a rich benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in NY or eligible.
• Passion for Women’s and Men’s Pelvic Health.
• 1–2 years in Pelvic Floor rehab and 2 years in outpatient setting.
• Women’s Health Certification is a plus; willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong manual skills are a must; 1 year experience.
• Mandatory First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates need for ortho or pelvic PT and develops a treatment plan.
• Provides care per physician plan and agency policy.
• Manages caseload including prenatal/postpartum, pelvic pain, incontinence, and related conditions.
• Focuses on prevention and treatment of abdominal, pelvic and low back disorders.
• Educates patient and family and coordinates with physicians and staff.
• Operates therapy equipment and guides mobility and strengthening.
• Instructs family members and aides in PT techniques.

Job Description

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking FULL TIME Pelvic Physical Therapist. Our clinics enjoy a well-trained support staff, as well as a state-of-the-art space and equipment. Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!

We are looking for someone with an interest in treating either a full pelvic caseload or a combination of pelvic and orthopedic patients.

All levels of experience are encouraged to apply and will train the right new graduate.

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluates a patient's need for either ortho or pelvic physical therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Responsible for patient caseload consisting of but not limited to pre-natal and post-partum diagnoses, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, colorectal conditions/chronic constipation, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti management.
• Focuses on the prevention and treatment of functional disorders of the abdominal, pelvic and low back region.
• Provides high quality patient treatment including evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, patient/family education and instruction, provision of safety procedures, and communication with those indicated given the patient. ( ie patient, family, physician, and other hospital associates, etc.)
• Operates equipment related to patient care including electrical stimulation units. Directs and aids the patient in mobility and strengthening exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training.
• Instructs family members, PTA's, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York or eligible.
• Passion for Women's and Men's Pelvic Health
• Minimum 1-2 years in Pelvic Floor rehabilitation and 2 years' experience in outpatient setting
• Women's Health Certification is a plus. Minimum Pelvic Floor 1 through APTA or Herman & Wallace, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong Manual Skills a MUST - 1 year experience
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$100,000.00. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
