Job summary

Columbia Community Mental Health is seeking a Family Peer Support Specialist to join the Together We House program in St. Helens, OR. The role involves delivering peer-supported services within an integrated care team to diverse clients including families and youths.

Qualified candidates have a social services bachelor’s degree and a QMHA certification or plan to obtain it within three months. The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering comprehensive benefits and salary

Position:

Family Peer Support Specialist

Department

Together We House (TGW - IBHS)

Shift:

Individual schedules can be determined with supervisor and within business needs/hours. In general, our agency provides services Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Salary Range:

$28.97 to $37.46 (hourly). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in social services field required and/or ability to be qualified as a QMHA. 1-3 years related work experience preferred. History of working cooperatively in a team. Must have a Peer Support Specialist certification by the State of Oregon or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.

Summary:

The Peer Support Specialist, as part of an integrated care team, will provide peer-based, supportive services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned by a designated QMHP, Clinical Supervisor or Administrator. The Peer Support Specialist may be assigned to any agency program including, but not limited to: ACT, Crisis, Intensive Services, Outpatient, Jail Diversion, Wrap, Residential or Detox. Essential duties may vary per location/department/position.
