Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a 40-hour Peer Support Specialist for the Crisis Department. The role works with a licensed clinician to assist individuals experiencing mental health or substance use concerns, following best practices in crisis intervention.

You will engage in mobile crisis response, develop short-term safety plans, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Bilingual pay differential available and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

  • GED/High school diploma with 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or a bachelor's degree (not in behavioral health) with 1 year of behavioral health experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) preferred.
  • Peer certification within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to individuals in crisis and supports crisis intervention per protocol.
  • Engages in mobile crisis response and immediate safety planning.
