Job summary

Community Services Group is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to help adults in recovery by coaching, mentoring, and linking them with community resources. The role emphasizes self-directed recovery, empowerment, and trauma‑informed care within our Adult Mental Health Services.

This PRN position offers flexible hours and pays $12.50 per hour, with opportunities to engage clients at varying levels of need and to support personal recovery journeys in a respectful, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Attestation to having a mental health diagnosis and place in recovery to support others.
• Completed peer specialist training with PCB certification per OMHSAS.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and community integration support.
• Identify individuals’ abilities and help set recovery goals.
• Advocate for support and promote empowerment.

The Peer Support Specialist will use their personal experiences to assist individuals to better understand their illness and guide individuals to reconnect with community and work environments.
